The ENSP aims to create greater coherence between tobacco prevention activities and to promote comprehensive tobacco control policies at both national and European level.

As a result of the ENSP's mission and work, the EPACTT project is the result of the ENSP's work.

The aim of EPACTT is to increase the number of healthcare professionals interested in addressing tobacco dependence initially in Romania, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia.

The project has two main objectives:

1. To develop a hybrid training (pilot eLearning course) with CME certification for health professionals, based on tobacco treatment and policy best practices.

2. To further develop the European guidelines for addressing tobacco dependence as mentioned in Article 14 of the FCTC, and to translate and adapt the guidelines into Romanian, Armenian, Georgian, Ukrainian and Russian.

Over the course of the project, the countries with which ENSP has started working have increased to include health providers dedicated to promoting tobacco dependence treatment in Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Serbia, and Slovenia, 13 countries in total.

In order to support the training of health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who smoke, the use of distance learning was chosen, which will be accompanied by the receipt of a certificate of completion.

In the context of the EPACTT 2 project, WIDE Services was contracted to implement the eLearning platform for the training of health care providers as well as all digital courses, so to achieve the project objectives. Within the scope of the collaboration is the training of the team, responsible for the platform management as well as the continuous platform and material support.
