The ViLi project aims to improve the performance and effectiveness of teachers in higher education and vocational training. The project will investigate how experienced teachers utilize visual/video technologies and analyze interview data using Informed Grounded Theory to create a new theory.

Key objectives are:

  • To design, develop and refine a set of open educational resources (OER) that teachers can use for free
  • To provide a massive open online course (MOOC) on visual and video literacy, open to all.

Pedagogical materials and OER can be freely reused by teachers, professional trainers and people working in human resources. A supportive learning community and WIKI will help ensure the sustainability of the resources produced.

1. Improved trainers' communication skills through audiovisual graphics.

2. Support for the development and use of MOOCs within Europe through open educational resources.

3. Papers in academic and practitioner conferences and journals that will expand further research and innovation in audiovisual graphics and MOOC in education.

4. Stimulating lifelong learning and business communication, enhancing competitiveness and modernization of Education, promoting education for all.
